Yesterday, I was adding the Cabled Coat to my projects list on Ravelry, and it reminded me of how many projects I have that are just shy of being done - if only I'd finish seaming and weaving in ends. Life is too short not to finish projects, so I've decided to declare the next seven days The Week of Finishing Dangerously. Wanna join me?
I've got seven objects to finish. Some of these will take a minute or two, others will take a while. But the plan is to finish them at a rate of one project a day so I can move on with my life and free up some room around here!
Project 1: Tangled Yoke
I need to kitchener the armholes, weave in the ends, and block. [I have ordered the buttons, but I won't have them this week - I'll consider this finished when the yarn related work is complete.]
Project 2: Ruffled Scarf
You can't tell from this picture, but this scarf is done. I just need to weave in a few ends. Easy.
Projects 3 & 4: Two fun fur hats for charity
Okay, this picture doesn't show it either, but I've made two other fun fur hats besides this one. They just need ends woven in - no big deal.
Project 5: Knitty Professor Socks
I need to sew down the picot edge, weave in ends, and block both socks.
Project 6: Manos del Uruguay Hoodie
This sweater has been done for over a year. I need to do some serious seaming, weave in ends, and then block it.
Project 7: Scary Blue Scarf
Okay, this one was a big mistake, which is why it has taken me years to get around to finishing it. But I've got to weave in those ends and just give it to charity or something. I'm sure someone out there wants to look like Cookie Monster in winter.
Okay - so those are the seven projects. Most are easy to finish, a few involve a bit more work. But if I make it my priority for the next week, I can get seven projects done, clear up my Ravelry WIP list, and feel like I've accomplished something.
That's a good idea.... hm. Veste Everest, of course, has to be on the list. Poor thing.

I will be very impressed... and I think you should reward yourself with something grand, should you accomplish this mission.

You can do it! That is a really cute sock too.

Go go go go go go go!! I have picot edges to sew down on a pair of socks, too. :)

Wow, that is a lot of almost-done things. Go, grrl!
I am still trying to get my act together and work up a list of wips. I hope Ravelry will help me with this.
Enjoy your new winter wardrobe. Two sweaters!

What a wonderful idea! I don't think I'll join this week, but soon. I need to make some serious pompoms to finish some baby stuff!

Do you always seam before blocking? I block before seaming--seems to make the sewing up easier. You are making great progress on your projects! I've been knitting about a row a week these days. :(
